“The Insiders” Monday night at the The Stanley Theatre was an opportunity to ask the BIG question, “where is our industry headed?” This entertaining evening hosted by Fiona Forbes and Michael Eckford from Urban Rush put it all on the table: The Canadian dollar, tax credits, the 2010 Olympics, the CRTC hearings, how to leverage creativity and money and what is more important – hey and we all know which one that is. And maybe not surprisingly one of the biggest influences, the public. We have more influence than ever over movie making. You know maybe the hardest thing in this business is to get comfortable especially right now – so get creative and work what you got that is my advice to everyone.
