Celluloid Social Club – International Day

The Celluloid Social Club – Where Independent Film meets the big time.
This weeks program was snapped together by Kellie Ann Benz fresh from a tour of Europe with her own award winning film “Akward”. Local indepenedent filmakers were treated to some of europes finest award winning short films, and we were able to see a very different approach in terms of art treatment and subject matter. We also saw short films that were longer than what we normally make in Vancouver and in Canada generally. Cool.
Soemthing else Kellie has pointed out, filmakers earn a living making short film in europe. Short films are not just a teaser for the feature.
There is a real and metaphorical bridge that can be built here.
If you want to find out more you can go to Kellies’ website: The Short Report.
